Our brewgooder collaboration with The White Hag from Ireland & using stone ground wheat from our local “windy miller” – Nigel Moon of
whissendine windmill - proceeds go to help deliver clean water to villages in Malawi.
This spiced wheat beer is inspired by the Malawi national herbarium in the city of zomba – the old colonial capital of Malawi.
Delicate yet complex - Zomba pours hazy white with a thick white pillowy head. Incredibly fragrant - This stunning Belgian witbier yeast strain delivers aromas of juicy fruit, skittles, Turkish delight and gentle phenolics. Orange zest and lime character from coriander seed lift the refreshing citrus character and are under-pinned by a subtle lavender flower aroma.

330ml can from Honest Brew. Hazy gold with small white head, nice lasting top. Aroma is very floral and spicy with lavender and coriander coming through. Taste is the same with some zestiness and a nice background of sweet malts and the wheat coming through. Lacks something, its certainly no Hoegaarden. Nonetheless its a good Witbier that doesn't hold back.

Can from the White Hag BoxTravaganza box sent directly from White Hag, it's Saturday 14th August 2021 we're sat outside having a Zoom chat with the wonderful person who sent us this, big, big cheers to Steve Matthews. Hazy pale gold with a white head Aromatic, big floral hit, I get the lavender sweets actually I mean Parma Violets, also showing a little coriander. A Belgian Wit is not my favourite style but I like this interpretation, this is really good.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - hazy yellow with thin white lacing. Nose - orange peel and light spice. Creamy wheat. Taste - coriander seed and orange peel again. Palate - light bodied with a creamy middle, then a lightly almost tart finish. Overall - decent example of the style.
