Bottle at Gustav Vasa, Vasa. Dark opaque brown, steady beige head. Toasted, slightly chocolaty aroma. Medium-bodied. Chocolate, toasted malts, a bit harsh flavor. Sweet and berryish notes. Decent.

33cl bottle @ Gustav Vasa. Thanks Pade. Pours dark brown with a thick off white head. Ashy, roasty, sweet aroma. Nutty, almondy with some ashy notes. Sweet, nutty and ashy finish.

Bottled@Gustav Wasa, Vaasa. More or less black colour, mediumsized brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is a bit lactic, some oatmeal, mild berries as well as some toffee and mild roasted notes. Flavour is being quite similar, but also has some slight notes of alcohol. Balanced, but a bit strong on the lactic slight sourness in the aroma.

(Keg at Mullikka, 20160101) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, molassess and pine. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, molasses, pine, grass and bitterness. Afteraste was mostly bitter. A good brew in which the finishing bitterness cleansed all the sweet flavours.

Tap at SOPP 2015, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits., grain, hops and malts. Amber ale? More like easy black IPA.

Draught @ Gallows Bird, Espoo. Aroma is nice with licorice, toffee and some mellow hops. Flavour has ash, licorice, vichy notes and hints of tobacco. Palate has stinging CO2. A bit too thin and ashy - and gets unpleasant (but mellow) vegetable tones & odd buttery vibes after some sips. Way too dark for an amber ale and lacks the resiny & sweet malty tones typical to the style. Looks and feels like a black IPA.
