Keg @ Tom's Tap & Brewhouse, Crewe. Hazed orange-gold with next to no head. Has smoked elements with its wit style coming to the fore in its aftertaste. Understated before this.

Keg at Tom's Tap, Crewe, 26/01/24. Clear orange with a faded just off white head. Nose is orange zest, straw, grains, herb, faint yeast notes. Taste comprises hedgerow, tangerine, light yeast, hint of white peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay for the style.

On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. ~pours a murky peach with medium sized frothy white head. Aroma has generous helpings of banana and floral hops. Sweetness is the initial sensation in the mouth, together with the time honoured witbier flavours of banana, cloves and bubble gum. Plus some wheat malt and hints of floral hops. Finish is sweet with bananas. A very good witbier – I can’t believe it’s not Belgian !
