The aroma is bright, zingy upfront, yuzu, satsuma, lemon sherbet, then it is musty, funk, damp basement, brett, oak, splash of Irn Bru, marmalade, red wine, grape skin, jam and earth. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, dry oak, musty, earthy, bright, citrus acidity, zingy, dried citrus peel, yuzu, satsuma, grapefruit, light tannin, funky brett vibes, vinous character, spice and earth with a drying, oaky finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Plenty of depth especially considering the abv. Good mix of citrus, funk and winey oak.
