Bottle shared with a visiting friend, with many thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours jet black with a persistent tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, blackcurrant and leather. Taste brings some light smoke on top of the flavours already mentioned. Dark sugar linger. Rich, creamy. Lovely stuff.

75cl bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - jet black with a crema head. Nose - tar, molasses, very dark and bitter chocolate. Taste - black jack sweets, blackcurrant jam. Light smoke, burnt sugar, almost molasses. Palate - burnt sugar and blackcurrants again. Overall - lovely beer.
