It's no secret that American craft breweries have had a huge impact on the modern craft beer scene. So we wanted to celebrate all hoppy things American! This is our homage to the classic west coast style pale ale using only US hops.

Tap at Brewery Tap, Chester My friend Ian is a big fan of Glen Affric beers and this was the first one I’ve tried. Have to say I was impressed. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head and very light carbonation. The nose is predominantly biscuits, with vague citrus notes. In the mouth there is a nice balance between malts and biscuit, against corn and hops. The finish is clean and malty with just a hint of pine needles. Nice and refreshing – will certainly try this again.

Keg @ Gallaghers Pub & Barber Shop, Birkenhead. Hazy golden-amber with a small head. Has a dry tasting texture, is mildly fruity and an easy-drinking keg ale.
