Our Rye Ruby uses the distinctive character of unsold Rye bread from Chalk Hills bakery in Reigate.
The loaves are made with caraway seeds and our Ruby recipe folds those flavours into a dark, warming brew with real richness

[50cl bottle from the Chessington garden centre.] A chestnut pour with a loose cream coloured head; malty aroma; earthy malt taste with some Demerara sugar; and an earthy finish. A pleasant red ale.

Bottle from Inn At Home, Guildford. Floral tinged rye bread aroma. Dark brown. Thin off-white head. Light bitter. The rye bread adds some spice. Medium bodied. On the thin side. Fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Decent enough without going out of second gear. Not as rich advertised but a whole better than some standard brews.
