Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Borough Wines. Pours hazy orange-gold with a stiff, frothy white head. Lightly sweet, quite dry and flinty. If there was ever much expressive fruit character in here it has since faded. Some bitter pine needles, dried pale malts, straw. Light bodied with active carbonation. Dry finish, mild minerality, lemon peel, grass. Bitter aftertaste. So so.

Can from Four Hops, Reigate. Enjoyed from the can on the train to our next stop, Redhill. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruit, grass and hay. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Towards being medium bodied, slight oily texture, slightly fizzy carbonation. A quite simple session IPA which according to the can is perfect for the beach, pool or BBQ but worked ok on a Southern Railway train on a rainy January night too.
