Appearance: Opaque deep brown with a decent beige head. Aroma: Toast & roast, calvados, dried fruits, coffee, salt, distant nail polish esters & hop. Taste: Pretty similar. Light sweet and bitter. Hoppy aftertaste. Mouth feel: Medium plus bosy, soft carbonation. Summary: Pretty basic as an impy but not bad generally.

Back, beige froth. Roasted aroma, light wood and choc. Sweet flavour, sweet roast and choc, some boozy warmth but not really calva-esque.

Bottle @ Torben Mathews tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, wood, little alcohol, chocolate and has a nice roasty finish.

Tap. Dark brown, creamy foam. Aroma: coffee or coffee drink, burnt barley, caramel, dried fruits, a little prunes, a little Calvados. Sweet taste, caramel, burnt, a little halva, wine, toasted oak and calvados, warming.
