Tap at MBCC 2017, Red session. Poured a murky dark brown with a round tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, molasses, woody bourbon, light vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich smooth oily sugary vanilla alcohol bitter palate and lingering sweet alcohol finish. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

Tap, mbcc, red. Poured black color with a thin brown head. Smoky, whisky notes, ash, tobacco, woody aroma. Flavor has sweet fruits, dried fruits, peach notes, roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco. Intense. Slow sipper, lots of flavors.

Draught @ MBCC 2017. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, buttery bourbon, wood, oak, vanilla, syrup, coffee and chocolate. Taste is smooth, complex and heavy with some buttery bourbon, wood, oak, vanilla, roastiness, coffee and chocolate. Finish is sweet, sticky and slightly roasty with some bourbon, butter, vanilla, oak, toffee and syrup. Heavy.

On tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. As good as a black one this. A thin filmy sidesticking brown ring at the sides. Smells nice, perhaps a little mild. Soft licorice, a good roastiness. Molasses and dark sugars. Hints of wood. Smells nice. Tastes good also. Wood acidic almost and hefty roasted. Lots if licorice, molasses and leather. Warming of course. It's nice and oily in the mouth, soft prickling on the bubbles. Heats the back of the throat. Roasted lingering tail. 11.05.2017

Tiny brown shortlasting head, deep black color. Aroma is slightly rich mineraly, dark sugar, dark malts, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, grass, oak, bark, minerals, sour coffee. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, dark malts, oak, bourbon, dark sugar, minerals, grass, bark, cocoa, toast, sour coffee, caramel, old rope, hay, licorice. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

Tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, wood and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily and smooth. 110517
