Good tweaking of Mt. Krobo, although I’m not entirely sure barrel-aging makes for a better beer. The whiskey brings out Krobo’s fruitier side, adding brighter berry acidity with an underlying woodsy vanilla tinge, but the bourbon provides a sweetness that, while pleasant, doesn’t quite equal the original’s dry finish. Texture’s slightly undercarbonated as well. Still a damn nice pint for a Saturday afternoon.
