Bottle. Amber-copper in Color with a medium head. Aroma is roasted grains and rather malty. Taste is a malty flavour, slightly sweet up front with a nice balanced finish.

Unique take on a marzen, if not all that successful. Caramel and toffee abound on the front, but the use of ale yeast leaves out any major apple lager esters, instead leaving a wide open door for an unnecessary hop bitterness to take residence. Results in an overly dry back end that doesn't entirely mesh with the indulgent malt front, leading to a medicinal finish. Beautiful pour, though, orange-gold with a massive white head and tons of lacing. Creamy texture is oily and smooth, great for the style. Otherwise not a great festbier.

Pour is a dark brown with a large white head. Aroma is a toasted grain with a little tootsie roll sweetness. Flavor is a very heavy mouth feel at first then comes some molasses and something like a fig. This is way sweeter than the style should be.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin frothy head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel malts and floral, earthy hops. The taste is toasted caramel malts, bitter hops, stone fruits. Medium bodied.
