A mild American red ale with a well balanced English Hop Aroma. Bitter, yet sweet with subtle hints of caramel and honey.

Mostly an alright American red, caramel malt underlined by toasted grain followed by an intense piney hop bitterness. The honey seems unnecessary, though, adding a outsized sweet back end, overshadowing the mild berry and citrus notes on the beer’s finish. Clingy IBUs help shore up the honey-lined fade, but I’d love to try this beer without the adjuncts. Decent red pour, giving up a mild head and moderate lace. Creamy texture works, but does nothing to prevent the pint growing cloy as it warms. Okay brew.

Draft. Red/amber pour with an off-white head. Subtle aroma, a bit of spicy hops and toasty malt. The flavor is crisp and hoppy with a bit of dryness in the finish. Good support comes from the malt without making it sweet. Surprisingly good for a style that is often boring and lackluster.
