Bit of a rough patch with my choices today. 3 Star has a noticeable diacetyl backbone, big and buttery, giving an unpleasant heft to the already-sweet corn character coming from the malts. Hops aren’t much of a factor, adding the slightest bit of citrus and pine but not enough to offset the sweet butter soul. Looks pretty, though.
