We love pineapple, and we love beer, so we didn’t put any pineapple in our beer.

Instead we used a trio of hops – Idaho-7, Bru-1 and Eldorado – renowned for their resemblance to our favourite spiky fruit.

Can in the garden, 5th September 2021. Pours a light yellow and hazy, firm white head. Aroma is pineapple, candied fruit. Taste is sweet, pineapple, citrus, candied fruit. A little sweet to start, but I really enjoyed it.

Keg at The Evening Star, Brighton. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, orange, pineapple, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes similar, quite sweet but a nice easy driniking IPA from Beak.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of pineapple, jelly tots and tinned orange. Flavour of mandarin and juicy grapefruit. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Great concept, really well executed.

Can. Little Leeds online shop. Custard yellow with a thick and spongy looking, sticky white foam. Nose has pineapple (as promised in the blurb). Ripe tangerine. Some soggy peach. Some milky oats and sweet wheat in the background. The is a little sweet and milky, with a fairly decent amount of pithy bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel with fine carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish. Nice one overall, albeit a tad sweet.
