Keg. Leeds IBF. Hazy, reddy amber. Thin, bubbly, white head. Huge, peaty, smoky, medicinal, sticking plaster aroma. Just on the nose alone, I suspect this is going to be a love it / hate it kind of beer. Taste is Christmas cake fruity, with lots of woody, boozy dryness. A thick, earthy, brown sugary sweetness kicks in, then. Thick, syrupy palate. Mouth numbing, tooth melting, sweet, boozy finish. That’s it, I’ve given up. My lips have stuck to the glass.
