Bottle 330ml. @ [ Scooper Tasting ], Ulfborg, Denmark. [ As Weird Beard / Electric Nurse Bearded Nurse (BA Ardbeg) ].Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, peat, dried fruit, wood. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, peat, sweet malt, caramel, wood, dried fruit, iodine - iron, blood. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. IMO: peat - Iodine - iron, blood makes it quit bad and not easy to drink !! [20170303] 6-3-7-3-12

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours deep amber, mostly clear, with a frothy, khaki head. Huge peaty, pure Ardbeg aroma, nice smoke, burnt leaves, hints of dried fruits and toffee. Medium to big sweet flavour, with some creamy caramel, loads more smokey peat, light woody dryness, toasted bread. Full bodied, oily and lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with continuing peaty onslaught, more bready and toasty malts, restrained toffee, ripe berries. Tons of lingering peat in the aftertaste. If you like Ardbeg, or just peat in general, then this beer should really do it for you.

330ml bottle. Barely clear, redish dark amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. The initial flashing of a fruity hoppy aroma on toffee basis is totally obliterated by the Ardbeg whitewash: notes of peat, leather, shoe polish, TCP, a touch of liquorice. Taste is likewise Ardbeg dominated, though the notes of leather, shoe polish, peat and TCP are slightly better integrated: basic caramel malty sweetness, flashes of fruity hop, hints of raisin. Rather light-footed for its double-digit abv.
