Can. Practically clear gold beer! Don't get to write that too often about a DIPA these days! Thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry and has a reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet, a touch of Czech lager breadiness. Nice to see the fairly rare Zythos hops on the front of the hop bill. But, this is a bit of a West Coaster for me. Lots of bitterish marmalade and a little orange peel. Good nibbly hop spice throughout and a solid backbone of smooth cooling pine. So, it tastes like most other West Coast DIPAs. Dig deep and there something intriguingly tropical and complex but it is very much third on the bill. Coulda would shoulda been a bit more interesting for me, but my guts thanks Overtone for not dumping half a ton of cloudy yeast in this one. Clean, crisp, bitterish. West Coast is too constrained for me, but this is a good example.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - bright orange and clear. Big off-white head. Nose - pink grapefruit, blood orange and resiny pine. Slight dirty earth note, but generally citrus, pine and resin. Taste - grapefruit and pith. Resin and pine again. Palate - light bodied, bitter finish. Overall - definitely more a West Coast style.
