Bottle online from Red Elephant, Truro. Pours dark amber brown with a beige cap. Aroma: plum jam, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, light funky, the merest of smoky hints. Taste: light to moderate sweet, chocolate, light smoke, some funk, dried fruits, light barrel character. Medium body with moderate carbonation. It;s never a rauchbier for me but very enjoyable all the same.

Bottle from the GoodH/Woodman's Webshop. Deep reddish brown pour with a beige head. Nose !is wild berries, sultanas, plum jam, toffee. Funky flavours of dried fruit, sultanas, smoke, light bourbon, more wild berries. Nice hit of smoke and sourness in the close.

Bottle at ash's. Pours deep reddish orange, nose is caramel, fudge, funk, citrus, taste is smoky, toffee, vanillla, some coconut, light funk, chocolate.

75cl bottle from the brewery. Appearance - a beautiful autumnal red to brown. Nose - smoke, chocolate and funky. Taste - lovely smoke and chocolate. Fudge and tangy orange. Palate - medium bodied, smoke giving way to sour and persistent length. Overall - lovely beer. And of a singular personality.

Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a thin white head. Aromas of smoke and cocoa. Taste has sourness, smoke, plums and leather. Spicy too. Nice.
