James and Julie is our take on a Flemish sour brown and offers an aroma of raisins, figs, cherries, and caramelized sugar. Mahogany in color, this medium-bodied ale finishes with clean acidity and a hint of spice. We brew this sour brown ale with Pilsner, Special B, Maize, and Chocolate Malt and ferment it with our house yeast strain. It then ages for two years on stainless steel with our own blend of Lactobacillus and Pediococcus cultures.

@Ulfborg Scooper. Clear amber, offwhite head. Sparkling. Sour, juicy berry aroma. Smoothly sour flavour, slightly acetic, notes of lovely paint thinner. Nicely balanced.

No head left, finely carbonated dark rosΓ© beer. Acetic acid and old wood. Sharp, rather fruity nose; Fruitacids, and again a preponderance towards acetic acid. Dry-out effect, acidburn and -thinning. Too much acetic acid, harsh.

Bottle shared at a tasting at troublesβs place. Cloudy amber with a beige head. Aroma of cellar, balsamic vinegar, caramel, cheese, funky ,cherry. Sour flavor, acidic, with fruits, balsamic vinegar, wood, a bit of sweetish caramel, and a mild acidic burn in the throast. A bit too acidic, but still good.
