This beer was conceived with the intent to push the concept of Doppelganger to the limit of flavor and intensity. Both the kettle hopping rates and dry hopping rates were increased while keeping the base beer the same. The result is intense, but also surprising in its balance and softness. The mouthfeel is viscous and coating with flavors of overripe mango, dank citrus, and tropical fruit balanced by a sharp but pleasant finish. A treat to warm you up as a true New England winter takes hold!

Can from Matt, thanks: pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is loads of tropical fruitiness and a hint of light booze. Taste is sweet, slight hint of booze, very fruity. Somewhat juicy. Pretty hood. I did not like the Doppelganger but the upped version was better.

Pours a nice hazy bruised peach color from a can, big fruity aroma and flavor, maybe a mint/pine finish? Very good beer.

Thick and juicy, sweet tropical fruit and some bitter hops. Super smooth, creamy and delicious. Quite bitter finish. Just an excellent ipa.

1 pint can, canned 07/14/20. Dark yellow, hazy body, with a medium, fluffy, light yellow head. Aroma of juicy tropical fruits, apricot, grass, earth, green hops, oats. Tastes similar. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth, creamy, oaty, grassy, earthy, fruity, a bit piney, with some tropical fruits, some vanilla. Tasty. Lots of juicy fruits and a creamy character, with some hop spiciness. Really quaffable stuff for the ABV, while I prefer the regular version, which has an even better balance. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

Sample at the Brisket and Beer tasting on 11/02/2019. Hazy orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of dank fruit, herbal hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of stone fruits, resiny hops and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hoppy aftertaste. Good beer all around.
