Occupying the epicenter of patience, refinement, and extremity, Double Barrel Very Special Old Deth is a foreboding incantation of swirling malt, spirit, and oak concentrated over several years in our most prized bourbon barrels. Cocoa, vanilla, and stone fruit emanate from the glass, with each decadent sip punctuated by American oak and warming alcohol.

Can with thanks 2 Homer! Pours opaque black, medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is oak, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, cocoa. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light plus bitter. A bit boozy, medium plus body. Gr8, but hot

Can shared at Benny's place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a thin broken off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, mineral. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, boozy, liquorice bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. Nice, but for me, a simple beer defined by the alcohol.

Black colour. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, then comes the vanilla, the chocolate. Full bodied, sweet, but the alcohol is immediately present; good dark chocolate flavour, loads of vanilla, toasted marshmallow, spirit, and a touch of coffee in the finish. Excellent.

12oz (thx, Matt V.!) shared with Alex in Golden Ears on Alouette campground. Appearance: very dark brown with a quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma: American oak, some sweetness. Taste: quite sweet, very boozy, some bourbon, American oak, some vanilla. Overall: this is definitely overhyped. I don't understand why people are so crazy about Revolution beers as there are many nicer beers around in both the US and Canada than these ones.

Rated at Platinum Beer Lounge - Viikki Branch HQ. Sugary, slightly syrupy and roasty with loads of barrel, bourbon, vanilla, oak, hints of toffee and caramel. Intense and complex
