330ml can at Hair Bar Estudio, Kuala Lumpur. Thanks Roy! Poured a clear dark reddish amber colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt, light herbal, toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, toffee caramel, herbal, earthy, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can. About ¥300. Nice nose. Caramel malt, chocolate notes, resiny pine, citrus, cherry. Deep red-orange-brown color, clear, with a tall, tan head. Rich malt flavor and big hops too. Toasty, slightly roasty, burnt caramel, dark chocolate, dried dates, resin, light citrus. Bitter hop and toasted malt finish. They have done several similar beers, but this is definitely an improvement--and possibly their best beer to date.

Kizakura Devil’s Beer Red Session IPA 5% Can from Yodobashi Camera in Kyoto. Nice reddish brown color with a deep tan thick head of foam. Fruity, lightly bitter with biscuit notes. I’m quite surprised as I really don’t expect much from these guys. This is solid though not super hoppy or IPA like. Think American Amber Ale.
