Every year as the weather warms, we look to crisp, tart rhubarb for inspiration. No strawberries here -- only rhubarb's delicate spice mingled with a big dose of gooseberries and a touch of orange.

For 2025, gooseberries layer their fresh garden aromas onto the rhubarb's savoury backbone, while orange zest notes linger in the finish.

Accented with pure halite salt and fresh NZ Pacifica hops, the result is a bright, effervescent sour that sparkles on the tongue and encourages another slice.

On tap at Gravity Budapest. Hazy dark orange coloured, medium sized off-white head, light rhubarb in the nose. Rhubarb, light citrusy, some acidity and touch of caramel in the finish. Bit too long on tap.

Draft at the Gravity taproom. Poured a dark reddish amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is big raspberry. The flavour is moderate to light sour, with a crisp, fresh, yeasty, tart rhubarb palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Keg at the Gravity taproom, Budapest, 09/06/23. Hazed orange to light amber with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is orange peel, herb, grains, hedgerow. Taste comprises rhubarb stalk, damp straw, citric tang, hay bale, light pucker. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light acidic edge. Pleasant enough sour.
