Cask at Christian Firtal Odense. Clear amber with a small off-white head - reasonably lasting for a cask ale. Aroma of dried fruit, and a bunch of hop character, herbal, resinous and green tobacco, along with orange and tangerine. Dry and hoppy flavour with bready malt in the background. Very drinkable and absolutely delicious, although it isn’t much of a winter warmer at 5% ABV

Cask handpull at The Swan, Sheps pub, Maidstone. The barman was excellent, pulling off a pint and a half before serving me my pint and then giving me a half to top it up with. The aroma is stunning green hop. The lovely candied citrus fruits in the mouth. Decent hop on finish. But that aroma is great, plus with a sparkler it really did stick all the hops into the head. As Mes says, dangerously drinkable cask beer. Loved it almost as much as the Late Red I had straight after it. My god, 2 great pints in one Sheps pub in one go.
