Hopsurd - DDH

Can. Slightly hazy amber beer with an off-white head. Summer fruit and light yeast aroma. Summer fruit and light citrus flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Summer fruit and light citrus linger.

Can. Pours a very hazy orange hue with a medium white head. A big pulp and malty nose. Bitter green notes, raw hops, some tropical notes, toast. Not great. These super hazy raw beers are not my thing.

Not that it matters, but that's some pretty low effort in the label there, doesn't make me think you're putting in effort elsewhere in the production. Well anyway, the hop profile isn't my favorite, it has that woody earthy mushroomy thing I get from fat tire and similar beers. yes its almost citrusy but that's it. The beer was sugary with a big hop flavor profile. Overall just not a great recipe, and well, I already don't like NEIPAs, and when bumping up the ABV it works even less well.

Slightly hazy and deep copper and softer golden coloured body with a thinnish pure white head that only shows a centimetre or so in height before fading pretty quickly. Aroma of flowers, deep grass, hay and yeast with a light dose of wheat and softer grains, but the deeper hops show strong here. Medium-bodied; Pretty strong wheatie and bready flavours at first from yeast and perfumey hops with a light hit of stone fruits with some apricots and peaches coming out as well, but no real deep or pungent hops in terms of alpha acids. Aftertaste shows some moderate sweetness with a lot of candy and fruits here and less of the hops than I expected, especially in terms of bitterness and alpha acids, which is pretty soft. Overall, a decent enough IPA with a good kick of flowers, herbs and grassy notes with a lot of dryness, but no real bitterness nor punch from these in terms of alpha acids, despite being very fresh. Nice enough to try, but not close to Imperial status (despite stating on the can), but closer to an APA than an Imperial IPA, and decent, but not worth trying to find, nor flying back home with. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 30-January-2022 for US$4,37 sampled in m hotel room here in downtown Denver, Colorado on 02-February-2022.

Can thanks to Ben! Pours a slightly hazy light light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dank citrus and a touch of mango with some grass underlying. Flavor has light mango and growing dank citrus with a touch of lemon grass and sweet grains.
