23/11/2018. Cask at the Harwich and Parkeston Winter Ale Festival 2018. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of dried fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and nut. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.

Gravity dispense, at the brewery, courtesy of the brewer. Cheers! Dark, copper colour. Light haze. Thick, creamy, lasting, pale ginger head. Good looking beer. Nose has caramel. Dried vine fruits. Some steeped cherry. Hint of dark chocolate. Background of nutty malts. Taste is nutty and sweet, with just a little twang of vine fruits. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Very easy drinking. Sweetness on the finish, with a light, vinous bitterness. Very nice.
