Gravity dispense at Pig’s Ear ’16, 29/11/16. Rich reddish brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit, light spice, dark fruit rinds, toffee. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit malt, clove, winter cheer, dates, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough for a winter brew.

Pigs Ear Fest. Cask. Hazy amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Light palate, semi dry and with modest fine carbonation. Smooth malts, touch of caramel. Lots of cinnamon, fresh tasting. Touches of ginger and cloves. Ripe citrus and crystallised fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Typically heavy handed spiced Christmas beer, that said, this one of the smoother ones.
