500ml Bottle - Brown with orange tinges. Chocolate, nuts and hints of dried fruit in the aroma. Chestnuts, chocolate and some hints of vanilla and roasted malt can be detected in the taste.

Cask at Swan, Farnborough. A musty fruit and malts aroma. Bright amber. Thin white head. Sweet with a malt quality to it. Fruit jam. There is a suggestion of bitterness to the finish. Light bodied. Quite creamy. An enjoyable pint.

Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading. A brilliant reddish gold pour with a tight cream head; rich aroma of chocolate malts, quite out of keeping with the appearance; rich milky chocolate taste to start, then becoming more fruity; the finish is soft, silky and dry with ingering fruit. Surprising and pleasant.
