12 ounce can from the brewery. Hazy dark amber, thin foamy tan head, fair retention. Aroma of oak, whiskey, vanilla, caramel. Taste is raisin, caramel, whiskey, oak. Medium bodied, warming, flat. Solid.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a muddled brown color with a quickly dissipating foamy head. Sliding lace.
The aroma had some sweet caramel with some pomme-like fruits. Some brown sugar and dried leaves. Light milk chocolate and then some woodiness.
The flavor had a touch of sweet malty booziness playing with the wood, somewhat dryly. Slight aftertaste of malts. No finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. Low carbonation and the ABV felt just a tad under than what was projected by the brewer.
Overall, unsure if I would have again, maybe not necessarily to seek out. But thanks Jeff for the can.

[ As Blackrocks Barrel Aged Gnomas ].Unclear medium red - amber orange color with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, dried fruit, wood - oak. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, candy, dried fruit, sweet malt, caramel, wood - oak, alcohol, vinous.
