The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours dark brown wirh a beige head. Aroma is candy, dark fruit, malt.full bodied. Kind of sweet. Fruity and a tad woody. Easy to drink for the size.

On tap at Mikkeller San Diego, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of candied sugar, booze and Belgian yeast. Flavour is massively sweet and phenolic, with tons of brown sugar, candied sugar and caramel. Way too sweet and rather boozy too. Not a fan.

Well made full bodied beer, very creamy mouthfeel for the style. Good caramel taste, I would say a bit above average for the style.
