Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 30th May 2021. Deep sepia with tan foam and full lacing. Rich and intense spicy roast malt aroma with vanilla. Rich roasty malts in mouth with citrus notes and a spicy overtone. A lasting, solid roasty finish. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Utterly exquisite.

Bottle at Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is sweet creamy caramel, vanilla, light coffee. The flavour is roasty liqourice with a dry yeasty, light floral palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 9/5/2015. Jet black with a slight, off-white, head. Easy drinking stout, with plenty of liquorice, chocolate, toasted malts and a gentle finish. Very good.
