Bottle thanks to Lorna. It pours deep mahogany brown with a tiny light tan head. The nose is bitter - sweet, toasted brown sugar, festive spice, allspice, ginger, clove, dark fruits, fruit cake and toast. The taste is bitter, drying, toasty, pretty spicy, clove in particular, decent astringency, dry wood, fruit cake with a pretty dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. The aroma is pretty nice, but it is just too dry and astringent.
