18/7/2019. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, liquorice and dark fruits. Moderate sweetness with moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slickish texture, average to soft carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice and hops. Nice long roasty licorice finish.

Gravity cask from the Blue Boar, Leicester. Very dark brown, bordering on black. Almost flat. Light aroma with some coffee, slate, a touch of bramble. Sweet taste with bitter ashy notes in the finish. Body is very flat and pretty thin for a stout. I liked this beer but it was a tiny bit messy.
