Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a red-caramel color with a large creamy orange-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish with vague berries and red sweedish fish. The flavor was strong sweet raspberry jam followed by vanilla and table sugar. Medium length finish. Full bodied and smooth. Well done.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear ruby-brown color with a medium light beige head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Aroma of berries, vanilla and malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet vanilla, mild raspberry and caramel malt. The finish is sweet-tart vanilla and raspberry. Decent overall.

Bottle: Poured a light clear amber color ale with a good size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is a nice enough mix between some vanilla and some raspberries. Taste is a well balance mix between some raspberries (real no syrup) with some distinctive notes of vanilla and a good medium sweet malt backbone. Full body with some good carbonation and no discernable alcohol. I wasn’t sure the mix between vanilla and raspberries would work but I was quiet impressed.
