Bottle from Taste @ Rheged. Appearance - very slightly lively on opening, then cloudy orange with an off-white head. Loads of yeasty chunks. Nose - a little farmyard, caramel and light grassiness (almost silage, in fact). Taste - earthy, fudge, brown bread and drying maltiness. Palate - close to medium bodied, dry and challenging in the middle section. Malty dryness on the finish. Overall - a bit challenging.

15/12/2019. Bottle from Priest Town Brewing Bottle Shop, Preston. Bit gushy. Pours clear golden amber with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, biscuit, citrus, hops, bread and caramel. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, bit above average carbonation. Bitterness faded and the sweet became more dominant with a little barley wine element to it. Definitely one which grew on me.
