The Roseate Tern is one of our rarest nesting seabirds.
In summer adults have a rosy hue to their breast feathers, which gives them their name.
Brewed in Northumberland, home to 99% of the UK's breeding Roseate Tern population, this beer's colour represents the Roseate Tern's summer plumage with a crisp, clean finish delivered by Cascade hops.

16/3/2021. Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear deep amber brown with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, brown bread, citrus, toffee, touch of spiced fruit cake. Light to moderate sweetness and towards medium bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, best I've had from From The Notebook.

500ml bottle from the Fat Mermaid, Amble. Pours clear copper with a thin off-white head. Aromas of dark malt and faint spiced orange. Taste is bitter orange and sweet dark crystal malt. Clean finish, if not too exciting.
