500ml bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy gold with a thick head. Aromas of white grape, faint sharon fruit. Taste is strangely woody. Balsa wood. Pine. Dry finish.

Bottle thanks to man at Buro Happold wine tasting. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Some big gunk at the bottom of the bottle. Nose - white grape light toffee and biscuits. Taste - I get the bergamot, in fact there’s a very dry green note like plant stalks. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - wasn’t sure at first, but it grew. Quite dry and balanced.

Bottle at Chop House. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of bitter marmalade and grass. Flavour of tea, tannins, burnt toast, orange pith, floral hops and sorrel. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A bitter, floral Pale Ale. For a pale beer, it’s really interesting that chocolate malt is included in the mash - presumably to give a toasty edge to balance the rich steak flavours.
