Cask at the Scafell Hotel, Rossthwaite. Deep amber with a thick white head. Rich, smooth, fruity maltiness. Tasty, filling and satisfying, just what I wanted after a hard day on the fells. Good bitter, wish there were more malty ones like this around.

Cask at The Centurion, Newcastle. Pour clear amber, thick off-white head. Aromas of mixed fruit, light nuttiness. Taste is sweet, caramel, light nuts again. Medium body, sweet finish.
