Cask at Six Degree North. It pours hazy dark brown with a tiny beige head. The nose is sweet, milk chocolate, earth and coffee cake. The taste is smooth, bitter-sweet, earthy roast, chocolate, coffee grounds, light pepper and lactose. Medium body and low carbonation. A bit more wouldn’t go a miss. Drinks under abv for sure. Alright.

Cask at the Guildford. Pours dark brown, rocky beige head. Aromas of chocolate, light coffee. Taste is more chocolate, quite sweet. Oily texture, full body. Slightly sweet finish.

Bottle at Tom’s. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of Twiglets, chocolate and dark malts. Flavour of charred wood, tangy hops, a hint of peppery spice and a bitter, roasted finish that lingers nicely. Medium body with a creamy texture. A tasty beer, but I’m not getting much of the advertised sweetness.
