Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and dry, mild fine carbonation. Dry dark malts with touches of lactose and roast malt bitterness. Tangy dark fruits, mild and well buried. A very dry finish. Roasty bitter linger. Pumpkin? Where? Too dry and roasty to be easy drinking.

500ml bottle shared with AshtonMcCobb. Pours dark brown, thin off-white head. Aromas of coffee and dark chocolate, if I didn’t know there was pumpkin in it, I don’t think I’d have guessed. Subtle, which is a good thing, frankly. Taste is light sweet, more coffee and chocolate. Not bad. Slightly thin at the end.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black/olive with a thin fluffy head. Nose - dark chocolate, going into coffee. Some nuts. Taste - dark chocolate but massive vegetal underbelly. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry vegetal finish. Overall - well hid vegetables!

500ml bottle - Okay, to start this looks dreadful. It looks like a murky pint of flat Pepsi, black and lifeless. The aroma picks things up a bit, a decent smokiness, black roasted coffee, roasted malts. The first sip is thin, a little of the smoke and coffee come through, but it seems a bit... dull. Second attempt, I’m getting a bit of a finish, nothing unpleasant, just like a cheap bar of dark chocolate. I was hoping for better, but sadly you can’t have everything.
