In March we had a visit from Japanese brewers, West Coast Brewing and Be Easy Brewing, so of course we made a beer! We decided to try a Mountain Pale with a soft malt bill of extra pale, flaked oats and a touch of crystal T50 to ease us into some big hitting hops. Whirlpooling with Chinook, Columbus and Amarillo has given us some pine and plenty of citrus fruit. We then dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Strata and Citra for a real melody of tropical fruits and vinous vibes. A superb blend of East meets West.

Can at home picked up from Fuss Clube. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a rocky white head that lasts. Aroma is hockey puck, orange rind, midget gems, waxy citrus, wheat. Flavour is composed of earthy grains, bread and wheat, dirty bitter citrus, pine, resinous. Agressive bitterness, Palate is semi sweet, resinous sticky hop, flaked grains, moderate carbonation, grapefruit lingering. Refreshingly high bitterness.
