16 ounce can. Hazy orange gold pour. Pillowy white head. Aromas of vanilla, sweet malt and nutmeg. Tangy citrus flavor upfront. Some vanilla oak and nutmeg as well. Then comes the distinctive hop bitterness. Resiny pine and white peppercorns. Long, dry and bitter finish.

Not particularly nog-ish, more of a sweet vanilla strong ale than anything else. Lactose and vanilla add a double punch of creamy sweetness, but the whiskey notes are very subdued, as are the hops. Hints of orange and pineapple surface on the back end, yet the fade verges dangerously close to growing cloy. Cute holiday offering, but strange.
