Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As 1648 V.S. Old Ale ].Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, toasted, vegetable notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, toasted, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151008] 5-3-6-3-11

Gravity cask at Nottingham festival day two with fonefan, Charlotte & chriso. Clear amber maroon color, tan head. Aroma of toast. Taste is lightly toasted caramel. Plain.

Cask at the White Rocks Hotel, Hastings. Chestnut in colour with a thin scummy cream head, that laces the glass nicely; malty aroma; soft, caramel malt flavour with a thin body and a dry fhish. Rather lacking in body.
