Cask at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough. A glossy dark mahogany pour with a tawny gleam and a thin cream head; fruity, chocolate malt aroma; rather thin in the mouth with some chocolate and toasted malts; then a dry tasty finish.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Low key chocolate aroma. Dark, cola brown on the periphery. Decent enough foamy light beige head. Some initial chocolate and cream sweetness before it gains some (not overly) bitterness. Medium bodied. Low fat cream. Soft- flat carbonation. Dry hoppy finish. Drinkable but not particularly exciting.
