Cask at the Jolly Crispin, Sedgley. Pours bright gold with a small head. Aroma is grainy and yeasty. Taste is grainy and bready with straw and yeast.

Cask at Grey Horse, Manchester. No aroma over the fag smoke blowing in from the road. Light bitter with a sour edge. Light but slick. Average carbonation. Dry finish. OK.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Blonde with no head. It does have a creaminess about it, but its striking maltiness soon dominates.
