Bottle from Inn At Home, Guildford. Rich coffee and malt aroma. Dark opaque brown. Thick fluffy light beige head. Initially sweet before bitterness kicks in. Underlying creamy coffee. Medium bodied. Creamy. A light prickle of carbonation. Long finish. Enjoyable full bodied mild.

500ml Bottle - Very dark brown with ref tinges when held to the light. Blackcurrant, malt, cherries and a hint of cocoa in the aroma. Sweet and malty taste with cocoa and raisins. Bit too sweet for me.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A slightly hazy tawny pour with a thin cream head; rich chocolate malt aroma; creamy texture with a sweet malty taste with hints of chocoalte and coffee; and a smooth malty finish with just a touch of bitterness to balance the sweetness and some warmth. An impressive mild, this reminds me more of a sweet stout.
