Notater fra en særdeles hyggelig aften sammen med Egil og Johan, hos ham, og vi er nå fremme ved kveldens nest siste øl i form av denne 0,375 flasken: mørkebrun med kort skum. Marcipanchokolader, fiken, Anton Bergs Madeira i blomme, eik/vanilje i suveren balance og med mild bitterhet, saftig avslutning og laaang ettersmak.

Not often I really like a bourbon barrel aged beer Dark pour and a small head Fine intensity in the aroma. Pleasant sweetness and a fine carbonation level. Pleasant to drink Oak, toffee, mild bourbon, some rum, vanilla, some roast and a well masked alcohol level. [Bottle at Komlefjorden 24]

Bottle. A clear looking dark brown beer with no head. The aroma has roasted malts, toffee, caramel and alcohol, kind of gentle. Some oak and spices. It’s full-bodied and warming, sweet and softly carbonated, with some bitterness. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, toffee, alcohol and some oak and booziness in the flavor. Some brown sugar. Lasting sweet, warming finish. Really nice this one, although surprisingly gentle. 241130

Kristiansand Juleølfestival 2024. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is malt, alcohol, chocolate, dried fruit, vanilla. Flavor is alcohol, fruit, chocolate, dried fruit, vanilla, rum, bourbon, wood. Powerful beer.
