Keg at Beerd (The Grapes), Oxford, Saturday 30th January 2016 Gold with a white head, busy carbonation, a little too gassy, not a patch on the Wild Weather Take No Prisoners, but it’s ok, soft mouthfeel, hops really weak, a touch of butter, ok. A5 A4 T6 P4 Ov11 3.0

Cask conditioned at The Cornubia, Bristol 27/7/2015. Gold with a thin, white, head. Sweetish aroma of hedgerow fruits with a touch of citrus hop. Cereal malts flavour, with more orange and berry fruit character, before a moderately bitter finish. Fine [3.2].

Cask-conditioned at the Live & Let live, Frampton Cotterell South Gloucestershire 25/8/2013. Golden with a tight white head. Typical Bath Ales’ caramel sweetness, prominent malts and a trace of tropical fruit, before a moderately bitter finish. Not for me.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Caps & Taps. Pours crystal clear gold with a creamy white head; effervescent. The nose holds some very simple pale bread, suggestions of lemon and tangerine, straw. Light-medium sweet flavor with mellow bitter hay, subtle and vague citrus notes, bits of cereal, pale grains. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more bready pale malts, slight citric hops, hay. No nelson sauvin expression. Just exceedingly basic, but not bad.
