Can from total wine cary. Skinny tall odd looking can. Clear pale pour. Big white foamy head goes craggy. Was expecting a rude session IPA but this stuff is not bad, it almost comes across as refreshing. Aroma of clean green citrus rinds. Initial good palate impression of lively co2. Clean beery flavor from the start. Just as good and civilized as many clean pale lagers. For an ale, it certainly lacks many of the ill rude attributes found in many domestic brews. I'm actually enjoying this. Pleasantly surprised! I'm not sure how long R&D has been around but this comes off as a beer brewed by an experienced brewer. Nice job R&D. Should have picked up a sixer. Thanks for not trying to make this ale an IPA, big thanks. Probably one of the better straight up ales I've had in a long long time. If this was a little darker, I'd say it should be moved to the mild ale style. It has the attitude of a mild ale fer sher. JMHO.

7 day old can A: Poured a pale straw yellow with a crackling but fast falling head. S: Sweet notes of graham cracker and honeysuckle from the can. The glass opens up some light tart tangerine citrus. T: Tart citrus again but overtaken by a mineral seltzer aspect that is present in most of this type of beer, however citrus hops are evident in the finish. M: Very spritzy carbonation and thin, light body make for high refreshment. O: Heavy on crushability but light on flavor. OK for what it is.
